Why Stony Brook? Like everyone says, I chose Stony Brook for the people. It's tough work and residency is hard no matter where you go. So you want the right kind of environment and with the right access to activities for leisure-e.g.beaches, restaurants, film festivals, vineyards and the rest of what Long Island has to offer (all of which have far exceeded my expectations as non-native!). Education is enriched with both traditional elements like case based lectures and also novel ones like their impressive ultrasound training among other simulation opportunities. But again, it's been a pleasure to train here so far because of the people!
