Why Stony Brook? I chose Stony Brook because I was looking to come back to the northeast since I have been living in the South for quite awhile. I missed the diversity of foods and people that come with living in the north. I also still have family members that live in New York City. I also chose Stony Brook because I was looking for a program that had a supportive community amongst the residents. This was something that was very apparent during my social and interview with the Dr. Susan Lane (the former PD). Additionally, Stony Brook is known to have good training and prepare its residents well for fellowship.
