Why Stony Brook? I chose Stony Brook because I wanted to train as a resident in an academic institution that offered exposure to diverse pathologies, abundant opportunities for research, and a well-connected network of residents, fellows, and faculty members. When I interviewed with Stony Brook on my interview trail, I remember meeting Dr. Lane and noticing the incredibly supportive environment in which I could see myself growing, learning, and so much more. Working as a resident can demand long hours, but with the right people, they can feel short and even turn into some lifelong memories – I’m happy to say that I’ve experienced this here. At Stony Brook, I’ve found what I’ve been looking for and feel grateful to be able to train at this institution.
