Why Stony Brook: From the moment I was accepted into medical school, I knew I would apply to SBU as an IM residency legacy. My father has nothing but high praises for the program and has always felt that his training here was second to none. One of my biggest draws to this program was my father’s continued connections with co-residents that showcased SBU’s culture of camaraderie that goes beyond the residency. And while meeting with the senior residents and witnessing their interaction, it was evident that this culture still remains as they all seemed like a close-knit group of friends.
