Stony Brook has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. As a Stony Brook medical student, I noticed that this program has friendly residents who are passionate about their work, eager to learn, dedicated to teaching, and are not afraid to speak up--and I see the same qualities in my co-interns. Also, the program leadership/administration genuinely care about their residents and are very approachable. Knowing this, I knew that I found the right environment at Stony Brook because the challenges that come with any residency don't seem so difficult when you're surrounded by great people. |
