About MEFP | |
The Medical Educators Fellowship Program (MEFP) at Stony Brook offers emerging faculty champions specialized development opportunities in three critical growth areas: teaching, leadership, and career development. MEFP is comprised of a series of three one-year certificate programs, called fellowships. The first fellowship to be offered is the Master Educator Fellowship (July 2017 - June 2018), followed by the Academic Leader Fellowship (July 2018 - June 2019), and the Career Development Fellowship (July 2019 - June 2020). Certificates are awarded for the successful completion of each fellowship. Applicants can apply for any fellowship of interest. There is no requirement to complete all three fellowships, although that is an option for those who wish to do so. MEFP is a competitive program, up to fifteen applicants will be accepted for a fellowship, and is designed to further the School of Medicine mission by providing faculty champions with the critical skill-sets required of the next generation of leaders in medical education. |
