Blood or Bone Marrow in 3mL lavender top tube (EDTA) or 6mL dark green top tube (Sodium Heparin); CSF/Fluids in container; tissues in container with saline or RPMI.Blood and bone marrow samples must be maintained and transported at room temperature (15-25 degrees C) within 8 hours of collection. If greater than 8 hours, then maintain and transport at 2-8 degrees C. Tissues and fluids must be maintained and transported between 2-8 degrees C. All specimens must be received in the laboratory within 48 hours after collection.
