We are happy to announce that Dr. Wei Yang has been recruited as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology.
Dr. Yang earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Peking University in Beijing (2006) and completed his postdoctoral training in Cancer Proteomics at Harvard Medical School/ Boston Children’s Hospital (2010). Dr. Yang is a highly respected cancer research scientist, focused on the development of novel treatment approaches for prostate cancer, and is currently funded by the National Cancer Institute and the Department of Defense.
Prior to his recruitment to Stony Brook, Dr. Yang served as an Associate Professor in the Departments of Surgery & Biomedical Sciences at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and the Department of Medicine at UCLA.
