Throughout the program, fellows will be given the tools and mentorship with which to bring a scholarly project to completion. Training in clinical research methodology will be provided and during the 1st year and fellows will plan and refine their idea, incorporating feedback from their mentor and the scholarly oversight committee (SOC). Fellows will not be discouraged from interdisciplinary collaborations within the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University or Stony Brook University. Additionally, fellows will learn to critically appraise the work of other scholars and teach evidence-based medicine to others through practical training
