The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce that in recognition of his long service as an exemplary mentor, Sandeep K. Mallipattu, MD, FASN, DCI-Liebowitz Endowed Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension in the Renaissance School of Medicine, has been awarded the 2024 Provost’s Outstanding Mentor Award.
The prestigious award acknowledges faculty mentors for their exceptional commitment to mentoring and supporting the intellectual, creative, scholarly, and professional growth of their faculty mentees. In addition to receiving a cash award in RF IDC funds, Dr. Mallipattu will be recognized at the New Faculty Orientation on August 20. It is the second time in as many years that his exceptional mentoring has been recognized—last fall, he was the recipient of the RSOM’s Excellence in Faculty Mentorship Award.
