Hobbies/Interests: Dialing in the perfect espresso shot, baking gluten-free desserts for my wife, playing euphonium, skiing, long-distance running, and photography. I’m also a lifelong sci-fi fan, especially Star Wars, Marvel, and Dune, and a die-hard Mets fan.
Why Stony Brook?: Long Island has always been home, so the opportunity to train at Stony Brook and care for the community I grew up in was especially meaningful to me. Beyond being close to home, I was drawn to the combination of rigorous clinical training, diverse pathology, and a genuine commitment to teaching. What ultimately made Stony Brook stand out, though, were the people. From my interview day onward, I could sense the camaraderie among the residents and how invested the faculty were in their growth. Since starting residency, that has only become more apparent. I’ve found a program that challenges me, supports me, and gives me the opportunity to explore where I want my career in internal medicine to take me, all while serving the community that first inspired me to pursue medicine.
