I chose Stony Brook because of the people. There is an incredible sense of community here that was palpable from the moment I walked through the door on my interview day, and I can now attest that it is more than just a feeling, it is the Stony Brook way of life. The individuals I work with across all departments are dedicated, compassionate, caring and supportive team players.
