Why Stony Brook? When I was trying to figure out which residency programs to apply to as a Stony Brook medical student, I found myself using Stony Brook's IM program as the standard with its knowledgeable, caring and down-to-earth residents, supportive faculty, quality education, a large and diverse patient population, and a location close to home. Now as an intern, I am still impressed by what the program has to offer and am proud to be part of such a diverse, intelligent, and caring community.
