Why Stony Brook: Having lived in Long Island for awhile , I knew the reputation that Stony Brook held. For residency, I knew I wanted a place that was dynamic and a place in which I knew I would be challenged. With plans on pursuing fellowship, I was seeking a program that would provide me with diverse teaching and resources to make me a well-prepared fellowship applicant. Aside from the unique training, I believe Long Island is a wonderful place to train within the hospital and a frat place to live outside the hospital. Long Island has a lot to offer in terms of physical activity , beaches, wineries , and great places to eat. I am very happy in my decision to choose to do my residency at Stony Brook.
