Why Stony Brook? After my interview at Stony Brook, I realized it had all the qualities in a residency that I was looking for: a program which instilled the biopsychosocial model approach to patient care, supportive staff and colleagues, and opportunities for research to help make me a competitive applicant for fellowship. Dr. Lane and the residents that day were genuinely welcoming and I felt strongly that this residency had the supportive environment I could thrive in. Plus, the location is great since my family in RI is just a ferry ride away!
