Why Stony Brook? When applying for residency I looked for an academic program with a diverse patient population where the residents seemed happy. Dr. Lane and the rest of the faculty and residents focused on all of these points during the interview day. I grew up on Long Island, so a program like this, so close to family and friends, was the obvious choice.
