Hobbies/Interests: Mostly when I have some down time, you can catch me watching some combinations of football, basketball, and baseball every night. Other hobbies include playing video games, entering trivia tournaments, window shopping with my sister, and working out.
Why Stony Brook: I wound up very fortunate to have matched at Stony Brook. Primarily, I was looking for a large academic site which would ideally position me for whatever fellowship option I would choose in the future, and Stony Brook offers an immense learning opportunity based on that. In addition, during the interview I really got the sense that the program leadership was invested in making sure we did well and would support us even during the most challenging times of residency. A lot of decisions about programs ultimately come down to the vibes you get during your interview, and I came away from my Stony Brook interview believing that it was a program where I would be sure to get the some of the best training in an environment I would be comfortable in. I’m also a Long Island kid so being within an hour of home was a huge plus for me.
