Why Stony Brook? What drew me to Stony Brook is the warm and welcoming environment of the program. Despite the limitations of a virtual interview day due to the pandemic, Dr. Lane and the Chiefs did a wonderful job of displaying the supportive and nurturing culture the program. I also knew I would receive excellent training here at SBUH, as it is the premier Level 1 trauma center and academic university hospital in Suffolk County (the fourth largest county in NY State). I look forward to growing both as a person and as a doctor here at Stony Brook.
