Why Stony Brook: Staying in New York to be close to my family and friends has always been important to me. I was drawn to Stony Brook because of the opportunity to receive strong, well-rounded training at an academic medical center while being surrounded by people who are invested in my growth. During my interview day, I felt welcomed by the residents and faculty, which made me feel confident that Stony Brook would be a place where I would be happy, challenged, and supported throughout residency.
