Why Stony Brook? I chose SBU due to its close proximity to the city, it's easy access to nature, and its abundance of research opportunities in my fields of interest. Additionally, during my interview, Dr Lane was incredibly warm and welcoming. Having a program director that had studied my application intently and spent time discussing the program with me made a huge difference.
