Why Stony Brook? I grew up on Long Island and wanted to come home for residency to be closer to my family. I also wanted to be at an academic program where I could be exposed to a variety of pathologies, ranging from the 'bread and butter' cases to the zebras. Additionally, Stony Brook stood out to me because of the supportive and collaborative environment that will help me to develop into a strong internist.
