Why Stony Brook? Professionally, I want to eventually teach so being at an academic center was important to me. I am undecided as to career path so I also wanted a hospital with all specialty services and elective rotations. Further, I want to do research in the future, so I wanted a place that always has projects available. Personally, location as far as the being in the northeast was important. I wanted a place with program directors who were supportive and truly care which ALL of them are. I wanted a place where the residents were respectful, collaborative, inquisitive and fun to work with- No doubt you will create life long friendships here. All in all: STONY BROOK IS GREAT, DON’T SECOND GUESS IT - NO REGRETS!
