Why Stony Brook: The Stony Brook Internal Medicine residency program encourages continued education and prepares residents for fellowships in almost every specialty. Furthermore, Stony Brook seemed to be a place that encouraged camaraderie among trainees. The senior residents are some of the kindest and supportive that I have seen and our program director, Dr. Lane takes great measures to ensure that it continues to be a good training environment for all residents.
