Why Stony Brook? As someone who grew up on Long Island, I knew that I wanted to come back and practice here long term. I decided on Stony Brook because of the incredibly diverse pathology, access to research, and fantastic medical students. I was also drawn to the welcoming and growth-focused culture. While I knew that residency would be challenging, I knew that if I worked with the right people, it could be a great experience too, and I’m happy to say that I was not proven wrong.
