External Cardiology Rotation

Infant Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at MSCHONY

MSCHONY Building Image

During the 3rd year of fellowship training, our fellows rotate at the Infant Cardiac Care Unit at MSCHONY in Manhattan for 4 weeks. This unique clinical experience provides outstanding training in the diagnosis and pre/post-op management of neonatal patients with Congenital Heart Disease requiring critical care after birth.

In order to optimize the time at MSCHONY, there are no clinical responsibilities at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital during this 4 week period.  To minimize travel time to Manhattan, housing in Manhattan is provided and funded for by the Stony Brook Pediatrics Department.
