Interview Process
In accordance with the decision of Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowships nationally and the decision of our institution, Stony Brook Children's will conduct virtual interviews for the 2024-2025 application cycle. Although you will not be able to come meet us in person, we look forward to getting to know you through our interactive Thalamus GME interview day.
The interview season begins in September and ends late October. Invitations to interview will be sent through Thalamus GME, where you will be able to schedule your interview. Interview dates book very quickly, so responding to your invitation to interview as soon as possible will help ensure you get a date that will work with your schedule.
Interview Day Schedule
1 hour — Welcome to Stony Brook Neonatology with the Program Director
20 minute — Interview with Program Director
20 minute — Interview with Associate Program Director
3 - 20 minute — Interviews with Neonatal Faculty
30 minute — Private Group Chat with Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellows
30 minute — Virtual Tour & Wrap up with Program Director
*2 breaks will be factored into the schedule as well*
Virtual interviews will be held on the Thalamus GME platform. Our invited applicants website will have tips on virtual interviewing and instructions for using Thalamus GME. And of course, our coordinators are always available by telephone or email to assist!
