Laurie Anderson, MD
Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine
Dr. Laurie Anderson earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2014 after completing her undergraduate work at University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Laurie then finished her residency in Family Medicine at University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky before beginning her fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She has work experience in both inpatient Palliative Care and primary care. She now joins the faculty at Stony Brook Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology & Oncology/Palliative Care. Her interest expands from research and quality improvement related to enhancing the care of patients with serious illness and at end of life, as well as resident and fellow education in Palliative Care.
Michael Moskovitz, MD
Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine
Dr. Michael Moskovitz earned his medical degree in 2014 at the Technion Faculty of Medicine in Haifa, Israel after completing his undergraduate studies at UCLA. Michael then finished his residency in internal medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Science Center and worked as a hospitalist prior to pursuing his fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He completed his training earlier in 2020 and now joins the Stony Brook Medicine faculty at Stony Brook Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology & Oncology/Palliative Care. His interests include resident education, prognostic communication, and spiritual care at end of life.
