New Publication: ECG Companion For Beginning Experts, 1st Edition

The Division of Cardiology at Stony Brook Medicine is proud to publish ECG Companion for Beginning Experts, a practical, case-based guide created by a dynamic collaboration between cardiology faculty and fellows to make electrocardiography clear, accessible, and useful for healthcare providers and learners at every level.

Unlike traditional overly technical and hard to navigate ECG texts, this book offers a practical, case-based approach that emphasizes a step-by-step system to create a framework for real-world interpretation based on the “big picture” of patient care. It is designed to be a critical resource for medical students, residents, advanced practice providers, nurses, and clinicians who want to strengthen their ECG skills with high-yield cases, clinical pearls, and a built-in question bank. The goal is to make ECGs approachable, reliable, and empowering for all who use them to improve the care of our patients.

ECG

Key features include:

  • A focus on high-yield abnormalities and clinical pearls to enhance knowledge for providers of all specialties
  • Built-in question bank to reinforce concepts from the primer and case studies
