Welcoming Dr. Anum Muzaffar, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology

Dear Members of the Department of Medicine:

It is with great pleasure to announce Dr. Anum Muzzafar has been recruited as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine for the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology, Department of Medicine, Stony Brook University.

Dr. Muzaffar earned her MD at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in 2019. Her postgraduate training includes residency training in Pediatrics at Cohens Childrens’ Medical Center from 2019 to 2022 and Allergy/Immunology Fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Hospital from July 2022 to June 2025. 

Dr. Muzaffar has been actively involved in multiple educational initiatives including de-labeling of beta lactam allergy.  

Dr. Muzaffar will be a great addition to the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology, Department of Medicine. Her joining in Stony Brook University will provide more opportunities for trainees to expose themselves to the knowledge and skills related to allergy and immunology.
