Welcoming Dr. Esraa Askar, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism

Dear Department of Medicine Community:

We are excited to introduce a new faculty member in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism. Esraa Askar, MBBCh is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. 

Dr. Esraa Askar graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills, where she served as a third-year Chief Resident. She then pursued fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

Dr. Askar's clinical interests include general endocrinology, with a focus on calcium metabolism, diabetes, and thyroid disease. Dr. Askar will be practicing at the Center Moriches and Lake Grove locations.
