The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the promotion of Viraj Modi, D.O., FACP, Division of General, Geriatric and Hospital Medicine, attending physician at the Northport VAMC, to Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine.
As an academic hospitalist at Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dr. Modi has demonstrated exceptional dedication to education, serving as a mentor, preceptor, and teacher to resident physicians and medical students. His scholarly contributions and numerous publications have significantly enhanced the educational development of trainees, reflecting his strong commitment to academic medicine.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, he serves as the Healthcare Ethics Program Chief Officer, Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Physician Advisor, and Medical Director of the Inpatient Unit, further showcasing his leadership and dedication to excellence in patient care.
