Promotion of Noelle Mann, M.D., FACC, FASE to Clinical Professor of Medicine

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the promotion of Noelle Mann, M.D., FACC, FASE, to Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology in the Renaissance School of Medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Dr. Noelle Mann completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  She then went on to complete medical school at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, graduating with honors and induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital, and then completed her fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases here at Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Mann joined the faculty of the Cardiology Division of Stony Brook University Hospital in 2001. She is currently board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  She is also board certified in Adult Cardiology by the National Board of Echocardiography and in Nuclear Cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. She is an active clinician with a focus on Women’s Heart Health, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, and cardio-obstetrics.  In addition to her clinical work, she has also been active in research and a mentor to multiple residents and fellows in their pursuit of cardiovascular research.

Dr. Mann has co-authored 14 peer reviewed publications and 36 abstracts (including 8 poster presentations). She is the Co-Director of the Women’s Heart Program and the Director of Cardio-Obstetrics.
Dr. Mann is co- PI of two multi-center studies, the ReBIRTH trial (evaluating bromocriptine in the treatment of peripartum cardiomyopathy) and the HOPE Trial (Heart Outcomes in Pregnancy Expectations) evaluating pregnancy, maternal and fetal outcomes in pregnant patients with known cardiovascular disease being cared for by a cardio-obstetrics team.

Dr. Mann has also directed the Cardiology Fellowship Program at Stony Brook University Hospital since 2007. Under her leadership, the fellowship Program has become one of the most sought-after fellowships in the country and in the New York region. Her dedication to the education of the fellows has resulted in a robust teaching curriculum for the fellows. The fellowship recruits fellows from some of the most prestigious residencies program in the country.  Additionally, her trainees have gone on to secure some of the most pre-eminent super fellowships in the country. She was awarded Cardiology Division Teacher of the Year in 2010. 

Dr. Mann has also been active in promoting Stony Brook in our community and educating those both within and outside Stony Brook University Hospital. She has given multiple Grand Rounds to the Divisions of Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has also been a fierce advocate for education of our community, and has been a panelist on multiple Facebook live events on women’s cardiovascular health, live panels at Stony Brook University, churches, schools, and most recently to the local mall walkers during Heart Month in February of 2025. She also presented multiple topics from 2018 to 2020 at the Long Island Heart Symposium. 

Dr. Mann has received the Stony Brook University Hospital Community Service Award in 2002 through 2007, 2009, 2011, and 2014. She been committed to service within her own division receiving the William Lawson Cardiology Division Service Award in 2020 and 2021. 

As a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography, Dr. Mann exemplifies the highest standards of professional excellence. Her promotion is a testament to a career marked by clinical leadership, academic distinction, and dedication to advancing the field of cardiovascular medicine.
