Dr. Ng is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook and an academic hospitalist for Stony Brook University Hospital. He currently serves as an Associate Program Director of Stony Brook’s Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Ng received his undergraduate degree in economics from Cornell University and worked as a financial analyst in New York City prior to pursuing medicine. He received his medical education from St. George’s University where he graduated summa cum laude. He then completed his internal medicine residency training at Stony Brook University and was appointed to serve as a Chief Medical Resident. Afterwards, he enthusiastically joined the Stony Brook Department of Medicine faculty to continue working with our residents, medical students, and the Long Island community.
Fueled by healthcare innovation and access, Dr. Ng completed his master’s in health administration from Stony Brook University in 2026 where he graduated summa cum laude. He was also inducted to the distinguished Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society for his professional and educational achievements as a faculty member at Stony Brook.
Dr. Ng is passionate about resident financial planning, and his scholarly interests include medical education in the inpatient setting, clinical and diagnostic reasoning, and patient safety and quality improvement.
