Dr. Ng is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of General, Geriatrics and Hospital Medicine and is an outpatient General Internist at the Stony Brook Primary Care Center. She recently was appointed as the Internal Medicine Residency Program Director after serving 8 years as the Primary Care Track Director/Associate Program Director . Prior to joining the faculty in 2016, Dr. Ng received her undergraduate and medical degrees at Stony Brook University.
She completed her General Internal Medicine residency training at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital and was a chief medical resident from 2015-2016. She is a member of Stony Brook’s Miriam and David Donohue Academy of Clinical and Educational Scholars (ACES), the Brief Action Planning Professional Network, and currently serves as the co-chair for the Primary Care Track Directors committee for the Alliance of Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM) and Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM).
Dr. Ng’s scholarly interests include innovations in medical education, women’s health, and resident financial wellness. Her work has been awarded the 2022 American Geriatrics Society Outstanding Junior Clinician Education Manuscript Award and the 2018 Innovation Grant from the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine.
