Dr. Jamie Mersten has been an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of General, Geriatrics and Hospital Medicine and an Internal Medicine Resident Preceptor at Stony Brook’s Primary Care Center since October 2019. Dr. Mersten received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and completed her Internal Medicine Residency training at Montefiore Medical Center.
Her year as Ambulatory Chief solidified her goal to become a clinician educator and led her to accept her first position as an attending physician and resident preceptor at one of Montefiore’s outpatient practices, the Family Care Center in the Bronx, and the Director of the OSCE program for the Internal Medicine Residents.
She joined Stony Brook’s Primary Care Center as the Medical Director of the Residency Clinic in October 2019 and currently serves as an Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. She delivers the Quality Improvement Curriculum for the Internal Medicine Residents.
