2019 Resident Interview dates for July 1, 2020 appointments are as follows:

We are one of the participating institutions in the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) sponsored by the American Association of Medical Colleges. In order to maintain equality and best evaluate each individual applicant, all communications are facilitated through ERAS. No direct mailings are accepted outside of mailing our brochure to the applicants who have requested them. As per the APGO standards for the OBGYN application and interview process, our final application deadline is October 1st. Invitations to interview, however, will be sent by the third week of September to provide adequate planning time for our first interview date in mid-October. All applicants will be notified of their application status by November 22nd.
The application process should be initiated by the applicant. All letters of recommendation are to be sent to your Dean’s Office and they will be responsible for uploading them to ERAS. Letters of recommendation should not be mailed directly to us. The only additional piece of information that we require is an official transcript of your Board scores from the various steps of the USMLE to be uploaded with your ERAS Application. Simply providing the scores in your personal statement will not suffice. The request for an official transcript can be done through your Dean’s Office. After review of your completed application, we will offer a select pool of applicants interviews at Stony Brook via the ERAS Scheduling System.
While we welcome resident applicants from foreign medical schools, we are a competitive program, and we have a preference for American medical school graduates who are receiving a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
